Hornet A-E Experimental Weapon

Initially, the Hornet fires a wide beam of charged particles or "gas", by utilizing the strong electromagnetic field that is generated by a large coil inside the barrel, when the barrel is detached as shown in the illustration above, the hornet not only takes on a new form, but also a new function.

With the removal of the coil barrel, the weapon is no longer able to generate the large electromagnetic field necessary to produce a particle beam, but instead the weapon is left with a smaller less powerful electromagnetic coil that is found inside the housing of the gun.

Although the weapon's internal coil is less powerful, it however, does not deplete an entire supply of ammunition with a single omnipotent shot, but instead causes the gun to fire the ammunition in automatic pulses through the use of a complex electrical current of square waves that is calculated through the internal coil of the gun.

Affectionately... the Hornet A-E Particle Cannon was given its name for its mighty destructive nature...
